Bahamas NPBA round 18 best performance: Camron Strachan

Camron Strachan put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sunlight Cottage Stampers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The player had a double-double of 11 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Bahamas Univ. (#2, 7-8) 82-70. Sunlight CS is placed at 5th position in Bahamas NPBA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 8 games and recorded just three victories. Strachan turned to be Sunlight CS's top player in his first season with the team. Camron Strachan has solid league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 19.0rpg. Strachan is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.1bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Dario Mckenzie of Caro Contractors Shockers. Mckenzie had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Shockers lost that game 78-84 to the higher-ranked Bahamas Univ. (#2, 7-8). This loss caused Shockers to drop to 6th position in Derrick Bats Ferguson. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Shockers managed to get this year. Mckenzie is well-known at Shockers and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 7.6rpg and 4.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Bahamas guard Van Hutchinson (193-G) of league's second-best Sand Dollar. Hutchinson showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Hutchinson's great performance the Sand Dollar lost 76-88 to #1 ranked Rockets. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Sand Dollar had another "accident". It may be a crucial game. Hutchinson's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Hutchinson has a great season in Bahamas. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.1ppg (9th best), rebounds with 16.1rpg (2nd best) and assists with 8.5apg (best passer).
