GS Warriors tab Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield

The Golden State Warriors (NBA) signed Buddy Hield, a 30-year-old guard from the Bahamas who stands at 6-4 and played college basketball at Oklahoma, for the upcoming season. Hield, who is well-known in the NBA in the USA, most recently played for the Philadelphia 76ers. In 37 NBA games last season, he averaged 11.3ppg, 2.9rpg, and 2.8apg. He helped his team reach the NBA In-Season Tournament final. Hield also played for the Pacers earlier in the season.
In 2016, he was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round (6th overall). He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball. Hield has been regularly called to the Bahamas Senior National Team since 2014.
He has played for the Sacramento Kings before.
Hield received the USBWA All-District VI Player of the Year award during his college time in 2016.
