Quimsa Santiago del Estero (La Liga) strengthened their roster with the addition of 30-year-old Bahamas international center Tavario Miller (203cm-103kg-1994, college: Texas A&M) for the 2024-25 season. It is actually his comeback to Santiago del Estero as he has played here before. He played most recently at Dewa United in the Indonesian IBL league. In 31 games he just played, he recorded 14.2ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.2spg last season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals.
Miller has been a member of the Bahamas international program for some years. He has played for the Bahamas senior team since 2015 and previously for the Under 17 National Team in 2011.
Miller also represented Bahamas at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of 13 ppg and had 7 rpg.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America) in eight different countries. Miller has played professionally in Brazil (Minas), Japan (Shizuoka), Mexico (Halcones Rojos), Spain (Grupo Eleyco Baskonia B team), Uruguay (Union Atletica Montevideo), Argentina (Boca), and Norway (Fyllingen).
Among many awards, he was voted to the Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Imports Team in 2022.
He used to be a Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered the top summer league for players looking to play basketball overseas.
Miller graduated from Texas A&M University in 2017 and it'll be his eighth season as a pro player.
