Kentwan Smith

Anorthosis Ammohostou (OPAP Basket League) inked 32-year old Bahamas international 203cm forward Kentwan Smith (college: Stetson) for upcoming season. He was best rebounder at BC Lulea in Swedish Basketligan last season where in 39 games he averaged 12.2ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.6apg, 1.0spg and 1.2bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Basketligan Honorable Mention, All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Svendborg Rabbits (BasketLigaen) in Danish league.
Smith also represented Bahamas at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) this year. During this event he scored an average of 2.3 points per game and had rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Smith has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Denmark (Naestved), Finland (Nokia), France (Garonne), Mexico (Guinda), Romania (Timisoara), Slovakia (Levice) and Czech Republic (Brno).
Smith graduated from Stetson University in 2015 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: Otero Junior College, University Louisiana at Lafayette.
