Club Ourense Baloncesto (Primera FEB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 33-year-old Bahamas international 203cm forward Kentwan Smith (college: Stetson) for the 2025-26 season. He most recently played at Nadim Souaid Academy in the Lebanese LBL league. In his two recent games, he recorded impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.5apg, 3.5spg, and 2.0bpg last season. During the last season, he played at Anorthosis Ammohostou (OPAP Basket League) in the Cypriot league, where he played 27 games and averaged 16.7ppg, 7.9rpg, 2.3apg, 1.4spg, and 1.7bpg. Smith helped them reach the semifinals and was voted to the Cyprus League All-Star Game, Cypriot League All-Star Game, and League Player of the Week.
He also represented Bahamas at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) last year. During this event he scored an average of 2.3 ppg and had rpg.
Smith is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in ten different countries. He has played previously professionally in Cyprus, Denmark (Naestved and Svendborg), Finland (Nokia), France (Garonne), Mexico (Guinda), Romania (Timisoara), Slovakia (Levice), Sweden (BC Lulea) and Czech Republic (Brno).
Among many awards, he was selected to Eurobasket.com Swedish Basketligan All-Imports Team in 2024.
Smith graduated from Stetson University in 2015 and it will be his eleventh season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like Otero Junior College and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
