Jones is back at Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul (KBSL) added to their roster 31-year old Bosnian-Bahamas ex-international center Jonquel Jones (198cm-1994, college: GWU) for new 2025-26 season. She is the second foreign player in the roster as French Iliana Rupert signed here earlier.
It is actually her comeback to Istanbul as she has played here before. She played last season at New York Liberty (WNBA). In 9 games just recently she had 12.1ppg, 9.6rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1bpg. The last season she played at Yuanda in Chinese league.
In 2016 she was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in first round (6th overall).
The former George Washington University standout is in her tenth season in pro basketball.
Jones also represented Bosnia at the FIBA World Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) three years ago. During this event she scored an average of 13.6 points per game and had 8.8 rebounds per game.
She is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in four different countries. Jones tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. She has played professionally in China (Flame and Mongolia), Korea (Woori Bank), Russia (UMMC Yekaterinburg) and Turkey (Mersin).
Among many awards she won WNBA championship title in 2024. Jones was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Import Player of the Year in 2024. She played also for Clemson University for one year.
