GBBA Round 4 (Regular Season): Dudley BS keep a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Dudley BS as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Dudley BS defeated one of their biggest challengers Connect SJ at home 91-82. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Travis Wildgoose replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds for Connect SJ. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dudley BS have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Connect SJ at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost.

Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and Kevin Cooper who added 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Lathorne Austin responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Ods Fugees moved-up to fifth place, which they share with New Era GR and Eight Mile RL. 242 Elite at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Pelican BF.

Pelican BF lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with 242 Elite. Pizza Hut L. will meet Celebration KS (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Pelican BF will play against Lil Boat (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 4 Eight Mile RL was smashed by New Era GR on the road 85-61.
The most impressive performance of 4th round was 12 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocks by Clarence Thompson of New Era GR.

New Era GR - Eight Mile RL 85-61

No shocking result in a game when third ranked New Era GR (2-2) crushed at home 6th ranked Eight Mile RL (2-2) 85-61 on Wednesday. New Era GR forced 22 Eight Mile RL turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when New Era GR made 8 blocks. The winners were led by Jay Philppe who scored that evening 18 points and 5 assists and Regis Cooper supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four New Era GR players scored in double figures. New Era GR's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by Delano Dean did not help to save the game for Eight Mile RL. Kiplin Fowler added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Despite that victory New Era GR went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Ods Fugees and Eight Mile RL.
