GBBA Round 5 of Regular Season

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most shocking disappointment of round 5 was a home defeat of 3rd placed Celebration KS (2-2) by fourth ranked Pizza Hut L. (3-1) who outscored them by 21 points 95-74. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Pizza Hut L. outrebounded Celebration KS 62-43 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international Ahmad Pratt (203-1995, college: Southwestern, KS) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and center Tarez Hepburn (191) chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. Malieck Johnson responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Pizza Hut L. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Connect SJ. Newly promoted Celebration KS dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.

Javanno Martin nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Mark Mackey accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Lil Boat's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Hugh Burke came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for Pelican BF in the defeat. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Lil Boat (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 242 Elite. It was Pelican BF's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with four games lost.

Javanno Martin nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Mark Mackey accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Lil Boat's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Hugh Burke came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Dwaine Gayle added 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Pelican BF in the defeat. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Lil Boat (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 242 Elite.
