Bain's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Eugene Bain

37-year old Eugene Bain (195-C/F-1988) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Commonwealth Bank Giants and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Zulu MM (#5, 5-4) 86-83. Giants maintains the 2nd position in Bahamas league. Giants has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. Bain has many years of experience at Giants, through which he has constantly improved. Eugene Bain averages this season 8.1ppg and 7.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Kenrico Rolle of Zulu Media Marketing. He is a in his first season at Zulu MM. In the last game Rolle recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Zulu MM to another comfortable win 82-67 over the lower-ranked Shockers (#8, 3-9) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Zulu MM to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Rolle is a newcomer at Zulu MM and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.3ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 15.4rpg and 3.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Zulu MM's star - Bertrum Minns. Minns showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Minns' great performance the Zulu Media Marketing lost 83-86 to the higher-ranked Giants (#2, 9-1). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The last thing Zulu MM needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Minns has a great season in Bahamas. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (5th best) and assists with 4.0apg (5th best).
