Edriel Martinborough claims Bahamas GBBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

Bahamas Guard Edriel Martinborough (180-G-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best New Era Gym Rats and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents GBBA Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 27-year old guard had the game-high 23 points adding five rebounds and nine assists for New Era GR in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Pelican BF (#9, 1-7) with 42-point margin 89-47. New Era GR maintains the 2nd position in Bahamas GBBA. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. New Era GR will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Martinborough had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at New Era GR and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Evangel University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Martinborough is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.0ppg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 61.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Wade Russell (G ) of Eight Mile Rock Legends. Russell impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. It was enough for Eight Mile RL to edge slightly higher-ranked Pizza Hut L. (#3, 6-3) by 1 point 63-62. This victory allowed Eight Mile RL to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Russell is a newcomer at Eight Mile RL and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#6).

The third best performed player last round was another Eight Mile RL's star - Antwan Bevans (198-C). Bevans showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Eight Mile Rock Legends, helping his team with a 63-62 win against slightly higher-ranked Pizza Hut L. (#3, 6-3). Eight Mile RL needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Bevans has a very solid season. In 5 games in Bahamas he scored 10.0ppg.
