NPBA Round 13 (Regular Season): Giants keep a leadership position

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in NPBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Giants as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Giants smashed 10th ranked Tucker Boys in Nassau 82-49. Giants have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Tucker Boys at the other side stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with Titans. Tucker Boys will play next round against Shockers trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena of Shockers. Giants will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Titans at home.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Zulu MM (#4) and Shockers (#8). Zulu MM (7-4) crushed visiting Shockers (4-10) by 26 points 83-57. Kenrico Rolle stepped up and scored 8 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and Jonaldo Joseph chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Zulu MM's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Jeron Smith responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Zulu MM have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-4 record. Shockers at the other side keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Zulu MM will play against Rebels (#6) in the next round. Shockers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Tucker Boys.

In the last two games of round 13 Rebels beat Titans on the road 63-58. Rebels won against TMT Giants on its own court 65-54.
The most impressive performance of 13th round was 19 points and 15 rebounds by Benjamin Cornish of Titans.

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Zulu MM (#4) and Shockers (#8). Zulu MM (7-4) crushed visiting Shockers (4-10) by 26 points 83-57. Zulu MM outrebounded Shockers 54-41 including 16 on the offensive glass. Kenrico Rolle stepped up and scored 8 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and forward Jonaldo Joseph (198, college: RWU) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Zulu MM players scored in double figures. Zulu MM's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Jeron Smith responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Dario Mckenzie scored 12 points and 7 assists. Zulu MM have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-4 record. Shockers at the other side keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Zulu MM will play against Rebels (#6) in the next round. Titans - Rebels 58-63

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Rebels (6-7) beat on the road 9th ranked Titans (3-10) 63-58. Marques Cooper stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and point guard Marcian Higgins (187-1996) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side Benjamin Cornish responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and forward Kenneth Reckley (198, college: Niagara) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Rebels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Millionaires. Newly promoted Titans keep the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Tucker Boys. Rebels will play against higher ranked Zulu MM (#4) in Nassau in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Titans will play on the road against the league's leader Giants (#1) in Nassau and hope to get back on the winning track.

Rebels - TMT Giants 65-54

There was a minor upset when their close opponent TMT Giants (5-10) lost on the road to sixth ranked Rebels (6-7) 65-54. Rebels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Millionaires. TMT Giants lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Rebels will play against higher ranked Zulu MM (#4) in Nassau in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TMT Giants will have a break next round.
