Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Puerto Montt (7-13) defeated at home 14th ranked Tinguiririca (3-16) 76-71 on Saturday. They outrebounded Tinguiririca 51-33 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Josh Morris (203-1993, college: UTPB) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-1992) accounted for 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Puerto Montt's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Matias Sepulveda (-1995) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Felipe Gonzalez Burgos (183-1998) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Tinguiririca in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Puerto Montt have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eleventh place with 7-13 record. Tinguiririca lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Puerto Montt will meet Catolica (#12) in the next round.
