Regular Season Round 1: Indias - Immortals 39-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Indias at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Immortals 64-39. Immortals held Indias to an opponent 11.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Immortals had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-1992, college: Richmond) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Her fellow American import swingman Jennifer Pena (175-1993, college: Missouri S&T) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Puthoff-King is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Immortals' coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Nayely Morillo (166-1999) answered with 15 points and Wendy Castiiio added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Indias. Immortals is looking forward to face Lady Monarchs in Flint in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indias will play at home against Fenix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
