No shocking result in a game in Sao Paulo where fifth ranked Paulistano (10-4) defeated 7th ranked Fortaleza (8-6) 78-73 on Wednesday. Paulistano looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Felipe Ruivo (188-98) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Maique Tavares (210-93) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Desmond Holloway (194-90, college: Coastal) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Guilherme Schneider (193-86) added 13 points respectively. Paulistano moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bauru. Loser Fortaleza dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Paulistano will face UniFacisa (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
