Important game to mention about took place in Almagra. Ninth ranked Penarol (7-11) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-ranked San Lorenzo (13-7) 75-74 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of San Lorenzo. It was a great evening for power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Tomas Monacchi (196-97) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. The former international guard Nicolas Romano (200-87) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (189-88) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Penarol moved-up to eighth place. San Lorenzo at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Boca.
