Fifth-ranked CA Platense (12-11) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Obras (19-6) in Florida on Sunday. The visitors from Buenos Aires managed to secure only one-point victory 80-79. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of CA Platense. Luca Valussi (195-98) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Uruguayan forward Joaquin Rodriguez (198-99, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Swingman Lucas Goldenberg (190-90) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Facundo Vazquez (185-98) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CA Platense. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Obras have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-6 record. CA Platense at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Olimpico. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
