An interesting game for Quimsa (22-4) which played road game in Corrientes against 3rd ranked San Martin Corrientes (16-6). First ranked Quimsa managed to get a 11-point victory 80-69. American forward Diamon Simpson (204-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import Brandon Robinson (196-89, college: Clayton St.) supported him with 12 points and 4 assists. Quimsa's coach Sebastian Gonzalez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 14 points and 6 assists by Matias Solanas (192-98) did not help to save the game for San Martin Corrientes. The former international center Ivan Basualdo (203-90) added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Quimsa have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-4 record. Loser San Martin Corrientes keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Instituto. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Martin Corrientes will play against La Union and hope to secure a win.
