Regular Season Round 43: La Union - H.Americano 100-90

There was a small surprise in Formosa where sixth ranked La Union (10-17) defeated their close opponent H.Americano (14-16) 100-90 on Monday. La Union dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to H.Americano's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Facundo Giorgi (203-85, college: FIU) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Eduardo Gamboa (189-84) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five La Union players scored in double figures. At the losing side Carlos Buemo (194-96, agency: BIG) responded with 40 points (!!!) and swingman Lucas Gargallo (196-95) scored 16 points and 6 assists. La Union maintains sixth place with 10-17 record which they share with defeated H.Americano. Loser H.Americano keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. La Union will face higher ranked Gimnasia (#4) in Comodoro Rivadavia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
