Regular Season Round 3: Salta Basket - Ameghino 63-83

Not a big story in a game when Salta Basket (0-2) was rolled over at home by Ameghino (2-0) 83-63 on Sunday. Ameghino outrebounded Salta Basket 51-31 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Jonatan Torresi (191-94) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (195-88) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ameghino players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Cristian Cardo (194-99) who recorded 11 points and point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (184-95) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ameghino will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Salta Basket will play against Barrio Parque (#5) in Cordoba and hopes to get finally their first victory.
