Tenth-ranked Vivo/Franca (12-13) made lots of trouble for first ranked Flamengo (23-2) in Sao Paulo on Wednesday. The visitors from Rio de Janeiro managed to secure only three-point victory 94-91. However their fans expected much easier game. Flamengo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Vivo/Franca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) fired 30 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international center Rafael Hettsheimeir (210-86) chipped in 16 points. Flamengo's coach Gustavo Conti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and the former international point guard Elinho Corazza (192-89, college: Miami Dade CC) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side.
