The most important game in the last round took place in between second ranked Olmeca (3-2) and fourth ranked Halcones (3-1) on Friday night. Olmeca was defeated by Halcones on the road 67-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Olmeca. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was a good game for Mario Reyes (-1) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Anthony Guerra (178-97) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Halcones players scored in double figures. Guard Luis Menendez (179-95) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Edwin Ruiz added 12 points in the effort for Olmeca. Olmeca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Halcones moved-up to second place. Olmeca at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Villa Nueva and Forza. Halcones are looking forward to face Forza (#4) in the next round. Olmeca will play against Coeindeguasa and is hoping to win this game.
