Regular Season Round 3: UdeC - Puente Alto 84-62

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Liga Nacional took place in Concepcion where host Universidad de Concepcion (3-0) crushed Puente Alto (3-2) 84-62 on Sunday evening. Universidad de Concepcion forced 23 Puente Alto turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Brandon Moss (208, college: LSUA) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. International Carlos Lauler (190-96) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Five Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. Universidad de Concepcion's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-89) who recorded 25 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Antonio Pinedo (195-94) added 17 points respectively. Puente Alto will play next round against strong Espanol de Talca trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Universidad de Concepcion will try to continue on its current victory against Puente Alto on the road.
