Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Olimpia and Defensor. Olimpia crushed visiting Defensor by 19 points 87-68. Olimpia made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Olimpia outrebounded Defensor 41-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-93, college: UW-Parkside) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. American guard Skyler Hogan (196-97, college: SEMO) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St., agency: Network Sports International) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Gabriel Belardo (188-89, college: FIU) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpia's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Goes.
