This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Sp.America (5-5) to first ranked Union SF (8-2) 74-73 on Wednesday evening. Naturalized Spanish swingman Maximiliano Martin (190-90) helped adding 8 points and 9 rebounds. Union SF's coach Juan Francisco Ponce used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was naturalized Italian center Omar Canton (205-82) with 32 points and forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Union SF have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-2 record. Sp.America at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Echague and Quilmes MP.
