Regular Season Round 2: Racers - Lobas 58-61

The most exciting game of round 2 in the LMBPF took place in Saltillo. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of Racers to Lobas 61-58 on Sunday evening. Lobas forced 22 Racers turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Racers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Sandra Vargas (174-97) who scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Paola Beltran (164-94) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Nicole Millender produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and Paloma Flores added 5 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lobas is looking forward to face Barreteras in Zacatecas in the next round. Racers will play on the road against Mexcaltecas in Tepic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
