Fifth-ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (17-10) made lots of trouble for second ranked Minas (25-4) in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday. Minas managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. American guard David Jackson (190-82, college: Penn St.) fired 16 points for the winners. Bahamas David Nesbitt (203-91, college: St.Thomas, FL) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Minas players scored in double figures. International Gabriel Jau Galvanini (202-98) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and international point guard Alexey Borges (185-95) added 9 points, 9 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Minas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 25-4 record having four points less than leader Flamengo. Paschoalotto/Bauru at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Minas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play at home against Mogi (#10) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
