Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#6) and Defensor (#8). Bigua (3-1) won against visiting Defensor (2-3) 91-82. Bigua players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American guard Donald Sims (190-87, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 31 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and center Mauricio Arregui (200-98) accounted for 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Alejandro Acosta (189-89) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Gabriel Belardo (188-89, college: FIU) added 13 points and 10 assists respectively for Defensor in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bigua moved-up to fourth place. Defensor at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Bigua's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Urunday.
