Very important is a home loss of second ranked Malvin (4-2) against ninth ranked Hebraica (2-3) on Thursday night. Host Malvin was defeated by Hebraica in a tough game in Montevideo 82-91. Hebraica players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward Onno Steger (196, college: WCU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-99) replied with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Juan Santiso (185-94) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Malvin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Malvin's coach Federico Camina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hebraica moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Defensor. Malvin at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Urunday. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Capitol.
