Regular Season Round 9: Olmeca - Forza 89-85

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Olmeca (5-2) beat at home 5th ranked Forza (4-4) 89-85. Center Carlos Florian (-93) stepped up and scored 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Edwin Ruiz chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds. Four Olmeca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-89) with 40 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Walter Gasparico (-89) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. Olmeca moved-up to second place, which they share with Villa Nueva. Forza at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Olmeca will play against Club Force (#4) in Guatemala City in the next round. Forza will have a break next round.
