The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Aztks (5-1) in Ciudad de Mexico. Visitors were defeated by Lobas (5-1) 83-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aztks. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Russian forward Julia Gladkova (185-94) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Hazel Ramirez (165-92, college: LMU) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-84) with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-93, college: Louisville) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lobas maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with defeated Aztks. Lobas will play against league's second-placed Mexcaltecas in Tepic in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aztks will play at home against Escaramuzas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
