Regular Season Round 8: Condores - Indios 72-87

Not a big story in a game in Margarita where bottom-ranked Condores (0-6) were defeated by sixth ranked Indios (3-4) 87-72 on Sunday. Indios outrebounded Condores 36-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91, agency: Promo Sport ID) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 assists and swingman Emilio Cappare (199-90) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Indios players scored in double figures. Colombian forward Miguel Fernandez (194-92) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Raul Millan (180-97) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Indios moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Llaneros. Loser Condores still closes the standings with six games lost. Indios will face Cangrejeros (#8) in Maturin in the next round. Condores will play on the road against Taurinos in La Asuncion and look forward to get finally their first victory.
