Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Caracas: Llaneros (#6) and Heroes (#8). Llaneros (3-4) won against visiting Heroes (1-6) 79-71. Llaneros made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Carlos Rodriguez (206-89) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Cristian Centeno (195-96) chipped in 16 points. The former international swingman Rafael Perez (193-82) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Colombian Jackson Zapata (198-85) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Llaneros moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Indios. Heroes lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Brillantes. Llaneros' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Diablos.
