Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#6) and Urunday (#2). Malvin (6-4) won against visiting Urunday (6-3) 91-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Urunday. Malvin dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-99) had a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized German center Kiril Wachsmann (203-84, college: Iona) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Marcus Elliott (196-84, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and his fellow American import forward Corbin Jackson (201-92, college: Florida Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Malvin and five Urunday players scored in double figures. Malvin moved-up to fourth place. Urunday at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Nacional.
