Regular Season Round 11: Monjitas - Forza 52-105

Bottom-ranked Monjitas (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 105-52 loss to fifth ranked Forza (5-4) in . They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Monjitas' 36. They outrebounded Monjitas 50-19 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized American guard David Goddard (185-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Walter Gasparico (-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Forza players scored in double figures. Enzo Castro answered with 25 points and Carlos Gonzalez added 2 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Monjitas. Forza maintains fifth place with 5-4 record. Monjitas at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Forza will play against league's second-placed Villa Nueva at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Monjitas will play against Club Force (#3) in Guatemala City and hope to get finally their first victory.
