Very important is a home loss of third ranked Diablos (9-5) against seventh ranked Bucaneros (6-8) on Thursday night. Host Diablos were defeated by Bucaneros in a tough game in Caracas 70-78. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bucaneros made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for Eduardo Diaz (205-93) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. Swingman Irwin Heredia (190-0) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Bucaneros players scored in double figures. Guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) replied with 21 points and 4 assists and international forward Anyelo Cisneros (198-97) added 9 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Diablos. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bucaneros moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Llaneros.
