Regular Season Round 16: Taurinos - Indios 68-67

The most exciting game of round 16 in the SLB took place in La Asuncion. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Indios (7-7) to seventh ranked Taurinos (4-10) 68-67 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Indios. Taurinos forced 20 Indios turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Michael Flores (192-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international swingman Rafael Guevara (193-79) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Taurinos players scored in double figures. Naturalized Dominican power forward Jhoyfer Diaz (200-87) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Indios. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taurinos maintains seventh position with 4-10 record. Indios at the other side keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Taurinos are looking forward to face higher ranked Gigantes (#3) in Puerto Ordaz in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Indios will play on the road against Condores in Margarita and are hoping to win this game.
