Important game to mention about took place in Cucuta. Motilones (1-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Cafeteros (4-1) 78-75 on Friday evening. Motilones made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international forward Soren De Luque (196-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Adarius Mashuan contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International Alvaro Pena (197-95, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and international Michaell Jackson (190-87) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Cafeteros. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cafeteros' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Motilones will play against Piratas (#3) in Bogota in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cafeteros will play at home against Team Cali and hope to get back on the winning track.
