Regular Season Round 25: Parque Sur - Quilmes MP 98-89

We should mention about the upset which took place in Concepcion de Urug., where higher ranked Quilmes MP (7-8) lost to thirteenth ranked Parque Sur (4-8) in a road game 89-98. Quilmes MP was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Juan Boffelli (197-98) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Gervacio Guelache (196-99) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Parque Sur's coach Damian Gamarra allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Facundo Gago (178-96) answered with 22 points, 6 assists and 6 steals and American Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: OBU) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Quilmes MP. Four Parque Sur and five Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. Parque Sur moved-up to twelfth place. Quilmes MP at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Parque Sur will play against higher ranked Ciclista (#9) in Juninense in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Quilmes MP will play on the road against the league's second-placed Estudiantes C. having rather not much hope for a victory.
