Rather predictable result in Margarita where fifth ranked Supersonicos (8-8) defeated 8th ranked Cangrejeros (2-11) 83-70 on Saturday. Colombian power forward Luis Almanza (196-91) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Romer Perdomo (199-98) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Supersonicos players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Jorge Rondon (193-90) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Jesus Ramos (187-97) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Supersonicos maintains fifth place with 8-8 record, which they share with Gladiadores. Cangrejeros lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Supersonicos will have a break next round.
