Regular Season Round 6: Los Leones - Puente Alto 92-84

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Puente Alto (4-5) against fifth ranked Los Leones (3-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Puente Alto was defeated by Los Leones in a tough game in Quilpue 84-92. Los Leones forced 25 Puente Alto turnovers. Strangely Puente Alto outrebounded Los Leones 43-29 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Barham Amor (185-96) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Panamanian guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-95, college: Idaho St.) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Felix Ibarra (187-93) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Los Leones and five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Los Leones have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with CDE Talca. Loser Puente Alto keeps the second position with five games lost. Los Leones will meet league's leader Universidad de Concepcion on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Puente Alto will play against Quilicura and hope to secure a win.
