Regular Season Round 7: Temuco - Las Animas 64-86

An interesting game for Las Animas (9-0) which played road game in Temuco against 3rd placed AB Temuco (4-5). Leader Las Animas had an easy win 86-64. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Franco Morales (179-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-85) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Las Animas players scored in double figures. Jamaican-American center Anthony Allen (213-92, college: OK State) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Sebastian Figueroa (175-88) added 6 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for AB Temuco. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Las Animas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Loser AB Temuco keeps the third position with five games lost. Las Animas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Valdivia to the arena Deportivo Valdivia.
