Regular Season Round 6: Motilones - Bucaros 59-77

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Motilones (5-2) against fourth ranked Bucaros (4-4) on Saturday night. Host Motilones were defeated by Bucaros in Cucuta 77-59. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Motilones. They outrebounded Motilones 56-36 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Nigerian-Jamaican swingman Weyinmi Rose (196-86, college: Providence) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Maxie Kunle (-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Bucaros players scored in double figures. Bucaros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Adarius Mashuan replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Motilones. Despite that victory Bucaros went down to fifth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Motilones dropped to the third place with two games lost. Bucaros will play against higher ranked Tigrillos (#4) in Medellin in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Motilones will play on the road against Storm in San Andres Island and hope to get back on the winning track.
