Important game to mention about took place in Puerto Ordaz. Sixth ranked Cocodrilos (3-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Gigantes (3-2) 62-61 in the game for the fourth place. It was a good game for the former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Jovanni Diaz (203-90) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Luis Duarte (190-94) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Gregory Curvelo (195-90) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gigantes. Gigantes' coach Carlos Gil rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cocodrilos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gigantes and Spartans.
