Regular Season Round 19: Algodoneras - Lobas 47-59

LMBPF top team - Lobas (18-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Algodoneras (3-16) in Torreon 59-47. Lobas forced 24 Algodoneras turnovers. It was a very good performance for Russian forward Julia Gladkova (185-94) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. The former international forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-93, college: Charleston) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Tylinn Carter (185-95, college: Pepperdine) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Marcela Domiguez added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Algodoneras. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Lobas. They maintain first place with 18-1 record. Newly promoted Algodoneras keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Lobas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ciudad de Mexico .
