Regular Season Round 10: Puerto Varas - Las Animas 83-91

An interesting game for Las Animas (12-0) which played road game in Puerto Varas against their biggest opponent CD Puerto Varas (6-7). Top-ranked Las Animas managed to get a 8-point victory 91-83. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-85) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and international Diego Low (190-97) supported him with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Four Las Animas players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds by American center Arnold Louis (201-90, college: SSU) did not help to save the game for CD Puerto Varas. Guard Patricio Arroyo (185-96) added 21 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. Las Animas have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record. Loser CD Puerto Varas dropped to the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with CD Valdivia. Las Animas will meet Puerto Montt (#5) on the road in the next round. CD Puerto Varas will play against AB Ancud and hope to secure a win.
