Regular Season Round 11: Las Animas - Ancud 86-80

Liga Nacional top team - Las Animas (13-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked AB Ancud (3-11) in Valdivia 86-80. Las Animas forced 21 AB Ancud turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Franco Morales (179-92) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Mario Pinto (197-94) answered with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the former international power forward Renato Vera (199-87) added 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for AB Ancud. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Las Animas have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. AB Ancud lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Las Animas' next round opponent will be again AB Ancud (#6) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game.
