An interesting game for Puente Alto (7-9) which hosted in Puente Alto their biggest opponent Espanol de Talca (10-6). Third ranked Puente Alto managed to get a 5-point victory 91-86. Puente Alto made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Espanol de Talca outrebounded Puente Alto 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Erik Carrasco (181-83) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Travion Leonard (205-93, college: Barry) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Pablo Barraza (184-94) scored 18 points. Puente Alto maintains third place with 7-9 record having two points less than leader Las Animas. Espanol de Talca at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Puente Alto will play against Los Leones (#4) in Quilpue in the next round. Espanol de Talca will play at home against the league's leader Universidad de Concepcion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
