No shocking result in a game when second ranked CD Puerto Varas (10-7) beat on the road 6th ranked AB Ancud (4-12) 81-69 on Saturday. CD Puerto Varas made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American center Arnold Louis (201-90, college: SSU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Juan Fontena (196-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Four CD Puerto Varas players scored in double figures. The former international guard Kevin Rubio (192-0) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Francisco Pavez (178-92) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for AB Ancud. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for CD Puerto Varas. They maintain second place with 10-7 record behind leader Las Animas. AB Ancud lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. CD Puerto Varas will face league's leader Las Animas in Valdivia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AB Ancud will play at home against Deportivo Valdivia (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
