We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Universidad Catolica (6-9) lost to fifth ranked Los Leones (6-6) in Santiago 62-72 on Sunday. Quite impressive performance for international forward Ignacio Carrion (201-93) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Panamanian guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-95, college: Idaho St.) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian forward Lucas Diaz (198-92) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Aitor Pickett (203-99) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Universidad Catolica. Los Leones moved-up to fourth place. Loser Universidad Catolica dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Los Leones will face higher ranked Puente Alto (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Universidad Catolica will play against Quilicura and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
