Rather predictable result when third ranked AB Temuco (8-7) defeated on the road 6th ranked AB Ancud (4-14) 66-60 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-American center Anthony Allen (213-92, college: OK State) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Michael Ernst (187-82) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Kevin Rubio (192-0) produced 23 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Francisco Pavez (178-92) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. AB Temuco have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-7 record having four points less than leader Las Animas, which they share with CD Valdivia. Loser AB Ancud keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost. AB Temuco will meet at home league's second-placed CD Puerto Varas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AB Ancud will play against Puerto Montt (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
